The Living Marketplace

The GrensWerte World Exhibition is over - below the closing program after four years GrensWerte:

GrensWerte kicked off in 2010 with its Art Circus in Dinxperlo. The guests were then Tjerk Ridder and Peter Bijl, who were hitchhiking across Europe with their caravan – without a car. The motto of their project, Trekhaak Gezocht [Wanted: Tow bar], symbolises the aim of our Living Marketplace: “You need each other to get anywhere”.

We invite professional artists, enquiring entrepreneurs, go-betweens for the arts and stages, art and society, and cultural and heritage organisations from Germany and the Netherlands to visit the Living GrensWerte Marketplace on 12 April in Kloster Bentlage Rheine (Germany).
The aim of this special day is to come into real contact with each other, in a relaxed atmosphere, to give and receive advice and feedback, and to discuss new ideas about cross-border collaborations. In the past four years, GrensWerte has realised myriads of connections, examples of which can be seen on our website www.grenswerte.eu and in the GrensWerte World Exhibition in Kloster Bentlage.

OFFERED:
GrensWerte has completed its activities so for one last time it wants to be the oil greasing the passage of thoughts on cross-border collaboration.

Professional artists can sign up for a 1 on 1 interview for feedback on their work, and to exchange ideas and thoughts on cross-border collaborations with:
- drs. Stan Petrusa, director of Stedelijk Museum Kampen
- Ellen Timmerman, curator and owner of Galerie Haus 34a
- Gerd Andersen, curator DA Kunsthaus Kloster Gravenhorst
- Stans van der Veen, director of Natura Docet Wonderryck Twente
about art in relation to the variety in landscapes, plants, animals, and natural phenomena. Don’t forget to bring your portfolio with you!

WANTED:
We want everyone to be willing to give feedback to others, to inspire others or to help in any way they can while enjoying a cup of coffee, tea and German cookies.

Give others a chance to win a prize, scholarship, collaboration opportunity, subsidy or exhibition. Have you spotted an assignment in Germany and/or the Netherlands that might be interesting for someone else? Do you know of a nice exhibition space, then print out the information and bring it with you.

Tables will be available to present information materials.

From 11.00 – Chance to visit the GrensWerte World Exhibition
